How to record a custody handoff
Shipment coordinator training, task 3 of 6: record who hands the goods over, who receives them, where, and in what condition. The handoff waits for a second person to approve it.

When goods change hands, record it. A handoff says who is handing over, who is receiving, where, and in what condition.
Open Partners, then Custody, and click Propose handoff.
Find the shipment by its reference. Then choose who is receiving custody, and who is releasing it.
Add the location, and the condition on handover: a dent, a broken seal, a temperature reading.
Propose it, and it waits for a second person. You cannot approve your own handoff. The page offers you Withdraw instead.
On your Learn page, Propose a handoff is now ticked, even though it still waits for approval.
