Where your freight is, who is holding it, and what condition it is in — gathered from carriers, telematics and trackers into one shipment record, so a disputed delivery takes minutes to answer instead of days to reconstruct.
Your goods cross several carriers, each with its own portal, file format and idea of what a status means. Tracking itself is rarely the cost. The cost is reconciling it afterwards, and the days it takes to piece together a disputed consignment from sources that disagree with each other.
A shipment is a journey made of legs and checkpoints, not a single location field that is overwritten each time something changes. Positions arrive from vehicle telematics, air waybill tracking, your own GPS trackers or a phone scanning a QR code at a checkpoint — and each position is stored with the time its fix was taken and its accuracy, so a stale position is marked as stale.
Trackers report temperature, humidity, shock and battery. Each reading is checked against the device's condition profile as it arrives — a pharmaceutical 2–8 °C profile, for example — and an excursion becomes an alert on the shipment it belongs to, not a line in a logger export somebody downloads after the goods have arrived.
When goods change hands, the handover is recorded against the leg: who released them, who accepted them, and when. One person proposes a handover and a second approves it. When a delivery is disputed, the answer is a record, not a search.
Purchase orders are recorded or imported with their lines and linked to the shipments that fulfil them. Shipments import from a spreadsheet or ERP export, or as X12 856 ship notices, with a row-by-row preview before anything is committed.
