How to add a carrier, supplier or consignee
Shipment coordinator training, task 2 of 6: set up a company once, by name, type, country and city, and pick it from a list on shipments and handoffs. Adding a party sends them nothing.

A party is any company a shipment involves: a shipper, a carrier, a consignee or a warehouse. You set each one up once, then pick it from a list.
Open Partners, then Parties, and click Add party.
Enter the company name, choose its type, then its country and city. A contact email and phone are optional.
Adding a party sends them nothing. It is your own record of who they are.
Click Add party, and it is in the list, ready to be named on shipments and handoffs.
On your Learn page, Add a party is now ticked. It ticked itself when the party was saved.
