How to create a shipment in Cargovate
Shipment coordinator training, task 1 of 6: enter the reference from your paperwork, the route, the carrier and the Incoterms rule, then find everything about the shipment on one page.

Everything else in Cargovate hangs off a shipment record. Here is how to create one.
Open Shipping, then Shipments, and click New Shipment.
Start with the reference on your paperwork. It is how everyone will find this shipment later.
Choose the origin and destination countries, then the city or port for each.
Add the carrier, the Incoterms rule and its named place. Weight, value and contents help the people downstream.
Create it, and open it. The shipment page gathers everything in one place: status, positions, checkpoints, custody and documents.
On your Learn page, Create a shipment is now ticked. It ticked itself when the shipment was saved.
