Privacy notice

How Cargovate LLC handles personal data collected through this website.

Draft — requires legal review before relying on it. This notice was prepared as a working document and has not been reviewed by counsel. It must be checked against your actual data processing, retention periods and any GDPR/UK-GDPR obligations arising from EU or UK clients before the site is promoted.

Who we are

Cargovate LLC ("Cargovate", "we") is the controller for personal data collected through cargovate.com. Contact: hello@cargovate.com.

What we collect

  • Information you send us. If you email us, we hold your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your organisation, for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the enquiry.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, which may include IP address, user agent, requested page and timestamp.

This website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we process it

To respond to enquiries and to operate and secure the website. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and maintaining a secure service; where you contact us about a potential contract, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into one.

Who we share it with

Our hosting and email providers, acting as processors. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as there is an active commercial relationship or prospect, and reviewed periodically thereafter. Server logs are retained per our hosting provider's standard retention.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@cargovate.com. If you are in the UK or EU you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

Client operational data

This notice covers the website only. Data processed within the Cargovate platform on behalf of a client is governed by the agreement with that client, under which Cargovate acts as processor and the client as controller.

Changes

We will update this notice as our processing changes. Material changes will be reflected here.
